Our Fully-auto Pallet Stretch Wrapping Machine Manufacturer program covers the complete end-of-line protection of palletised goods. Based in Shanghai, China, KUKO designs and builds both cold stretch hooding and pallet shrink wrapping machines, so one project partner can take your line from wrapped case to transport-ready pallet. This range is part of our Products range and is engineered for continuous operation, MES connectivity, and integration with case packers and palletizers.
One Category, Two Pallet Protection Technologies
Our Fully-auto Pallet Stretch Wrapping Machine range gives you two ways of applying a PE film hood to a palletised load. The best fit depends on throughput, load stability, weather exposure, film cost and presentation.
Fully-auto Cold Stretch Hooding Machine
A pre-formed PE hood is stretched elastically over the load without heat, giving five-sided protection, a clean surface and high output. We offer vertical, horizontal and economic configurations depending on your load height, cycle time and floor space. See the cold stretch hooding range
Pallet Shrink Wrapping Machine
A welded PE hood or centerfold bag is lowered over the load and shrunk tightly in a heat tunnel. This gives strong corner lock, excellent weather and dust resistance, and a printable five-sided cover. See the pallet shrink wrapping range
Cold stretch hooding is the usual choice for stable pallets in warehousing, distribution and high-speed production. Pallet shrink wrapping is specified when moisture, dust, tampering or long-distance transport demand a tighter, more weather-resistant cover. Both work across food and beverage, daily chemicals, electronics, logistics, pharmaceuticals and furniture production, where we already supply end-of-line systems.

Machine Sizing and Critical Specifications
We do not configure these machines as fixed catalogue units; the frame, film path, hood width and tunnel are sized from your pallet and production data. That is what makes the machine a true project fit rather than a standard wrapper retrofitted to your line.
- Pallet dimensions and load height set the film width, gusset, hood length and machine stroke.
- Throughput decides whether a vertical hooder, horizontal hooder, economic model or shrink tunnel arrangement meets your pallets-per-hour target.
- Film specification matters: PE density, thickness, width, gusset, roll size and printed film registration all affect the film feed and cutting system.
- Load behaviour - overhang, unstable top layers, sharp edges or heat-sensitive products - determines how the film tension or tunnel heat profile is set.
- Conveyor interface - chain, roller, pallet conveyor height and indexing - is part of the mechanical scope we supply.
Cycle repeatability is established during factory run-off with your film and load dimensions. We use the same settings during commissioning so the machine starts production at the agreed quality level.
Controls, MES Integration and End-of-Line Automation
These machines are built as part of integrated packaging lines. We supply standalone machines and non-standard conveying sections, and we connect the machine to your line PLC and warehouse reporting through Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration. That covers machine status, production counting, film usage and recipe changeover data.
The line interface is defined at proposal stage so the electrical cabinet, operator panel and communication protocol match the surrounding equipment. Film loading, hood placement and conveyor indexing are automated to keep a continuous flow from case packer through to pallet strapping or AGV pickup.
Manufacturing Quality, Compliance and Acceptance
KUKO operates two production bases in Kunshan Zhouzhuang Industrial Park and Shanghai Sheshan Industrial Park, with a total workshop area of 34,000 square metres. Sheet metal parts are produced on German IPG high-precision laser cutters and imported high-accuracy servo bending machines, which gives repeatable machine frames and guarding for continuous duty.
We are ISO9001 certified and hold EU CE certification for the equipment. Each pallet wrapping machine is supported from factory run-off through commissioning and production start-up, so performance is proven before it is handed over to your operators.
Installation, Maintenance and Lifecycle Support
KUKO projects are delivered as complete end-of-line systems. We provide integrated solutions from standalone machines through non-standard conveying lines to MES system connectivity, with a one-year free warranty and lifetime maintenance support.
Our design principles - modular assembly, standardized commissioning and user-friendly maintenance - keep installation time short and make regular service work predictable. We also use the same project documentation for long-term operation and maintenance support after handover.
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
When you send us your request, include the following data. It allows us to return a machine configuration, line layout and quotation in one round.
- Pallet dimensions and load height, including overhang, layers and load stability.
- Target output in pallets per hour and planned operating hours.
- Film details: PE film type, thickness, width or gusset, roll dimensions and any print registration.
- Line layout: palletizer output height, conveyor type, direction and downstream equipment.
- Utility availability: electrical supply, compressed air and ambient temperature.
- Compliance requirements: CE, target market standards, film disposal or sustainability constraints.
With this information we prepare a suitable proposal for the correct machine type, film path, conveyor interface and automation level.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between cold stretch hooding and pallet shrink wrapping?
Cold stretch hooding uses a pre-formed elastic PE hood that is stretched over the load without heat. Pallet shrink wrapping uses a larger PE hood or bag that is placed over the load and then shrunk by a heated tunnel. Cold hooding is normally faster and uses less energy; pallet shrink wrapping gives a tighter, more weather-resistant cover with corner lock.
Can these machines handle unstable, overhanging or heat-sensitive loads?
Yes, but only when the machine is configured for that load. We ask for the pallet footprint, layer pattern and product sensitivity, and then set the film tension, hood dimensions and, for shrink wrapping, the tunnel temperature profile. Unstable or protruding loads need a longer cycle and possibly a different film spec; heat-sensitive products need a controlled heat profile.
What throughput can a fully-auto pallet wrapping line reach?
Throughput depends on pallet size, load height, film width and conveyor indexing time. In the cold stretch hooding range, vertical and horizontal configurations are selected for higher pallet rates, while the economic model offers a lower-cost entry point. For pallet shrink wrapping, cycle time is set by the tunnel length and the time required to bring the film to shrink temperature. We calculate the cycle from your target output and film specification.
Can the machine be integrated with our palletizer, conveyor and MES?
Yes. These machines are designed as end-of-line systems rather than standalone wrappers. We supply the conveyor interface between palletizer and wrapper, coordinate the control handshake with your line PLC, and connect machine data to your MES for production reporting and recipe management.
What support do you provide during installation and after handover?
Our project support covers factory run-off, commissioning and production start-up. The equipment is supplied under ISO9001 quality management and EU CE certification, and backed by a one-year free warranty plus lifetime maintenance support.
